be inspired.

I choose to speak my mind [ hence the blog ], sometimes when I shouldn’t but I tend to anyways. Some arguments flare up GREAT conversation, and who doesn’t want a good opinionated exchange of words, [ sometimes knowledge is key. ] Most conversational discussions influence people in many ways but not always are people influenced, some could care less [ they just want to be right and shut someone else down ]. I have been learning to be completely oblivious to those who are negatively opinionated all around to anything and everything. [ smile and nod; virtually or literally ] If you don’t speak out and hear other point of views, join conversations or ask questions, in agreeance or not; how do we learn? Every so often you can learn from the unexpected and/or move on and not be bothered. You decide, create yourself. Adding to your learning curve and expanding your horizon is part of the elements of being inspired.

noun: inspiration

[ the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative ]

LET US BE INSPIRED! Its initially why I am writing today; behind this computer writing into the whole existence of the cyberspace. [ that’s scary thought, yikes ] Pushing myself to possibly inspire someone else, worth a shot right? You don’t know until you try, so here I am. Let me share some inspiration of my very own.

I come from a family of very strong women. But to narrow it down to my greatest inspiration thus far, I must give it to my beloved grandma [ my Gran ]. My beautiful angel. My Gran was given her wings May 19th, 2017. [ writing about inspiration just gives me a reason to write about her all over again ] This woman LOVED life. No matter what the situation was she was presented with, no matter how challenging it was; she overcame it. [ Easy peasy, said no one ever ] She taught me that no matter what happens in life, if you remain calm and seek the light at the end of the tunnel, you’d eventually come out alive if you kept moving forward. I mean the woman had ½ of one lung out of TWO lungs for upwards of 10 years. The utmost struggles and scariest dead ends she faced daily; and there she was just sitting in her rocking chair smiling. She became a seeker of that light at the end of the tunnel. She was incredible and lit up the whole room with her presence. Her lessons on life are some that I will for sure remember for the rest of my life. She was so strong, intelligent. She was super successful and achieved enough for five extra lives in her own. Incredible, the woman was simply incredible! She inspired a lot of people and passed down such measureless amounts of wisdom.

As long as I can remember my Gran always shared with me the importance of family. [ 8 kids of her own, not to mention 25 grandchildren and the 21 great-grandchildren ] My grandma was a very family orientated woman, and never would turn her back on her family in any circumstance. She showed all of us what the meaning of family and the importance of STRENGTH & COURAGE. If anyone needed help or no where else to go; Gran was waiting with open arms. Through good decisions and bad decisions, Gran was never there to criticize. Her family came before herself. She was one of the most selfless people you’d ever meet. Always showing an open mind and open heart for anyone who needed it.

No body had to pretend, everyone could be themselves. You could tell Gran anything and she would be there for you, spoiling you with her wisdom. She was one of the most quotable people I have ever met. [ here I am sharing her with you ] Whether it is strong, sound advice she never failed to deliver, even a nice long gossip session everyone was leaning in to listen, crowding her rocking chair.

She has provided everyone with so much that no one in this world could repay her but every day forward we will try. As long as we are trying Gran would be happy. We are all so incredibly lucky to have her in our life. Out of all the people in the world, all the women in the world to be in our life, we all got gifted with the best one.

My Gran inspired me in a lot of ways and she meant the absolute world to me. [ in case you haven’t noticed ] She meant a lot to so many different people. She bonded oil and water when they refused to befriend. I don’t know how people could get by without her in their life. [ even if you didn’t know her, I am sorry you didn’t. She changes the outlook to life. ] Gran’s love for family and life [ the little things, like rocks, dandelion WEEDS (!), even the most beautiful and ugly flowers ] are all inspirational to me. I hope that I can live my life with the same honor and respect as she did. A woman of such fragility and delicateness inspired wonders.

The most caring, beautiful and courageous woman found her wings. A true inspiration to all things living. I truly believe it. Everyone’s hero.

Fill those lungs with the deepest breaths my dear Gran. Take those wings and fly. Rest in paradise; where the flowers don’t stop growing and the birds sing you the best song yet. Tell them all your stories.
